Exhibit description: The Los Alamos Historical Museum has just organized a new traveling exhibit by Santa Fe photographer aj Melnick titled, "New Mexico Women Making a Difference." At this time, the exhibit is available only within New Mexico (or within approximately 100 miles of Santa Fe to the north, east or west) as it will be delivered by the photographer. The show consists of 35 black and white framed portraits. The women represented were chosen because of their wide-ranging influence upon their community and state. They are leaders in education, healthcare, local and state government, the performing and visual arts, media, and social justice. They represent the multi-cultural population of the state.
Availability: After September 15, 2009 – for one month bookings
Space Requirements: approximately 300 to 600 square feet or about 50 to 75 running feet
Security Requirements: low to moderate
Installation Requirements: Exhibit photographs have wires for hanging. The small text panels can be attached with velcro.
Insurance Requirements: adequate to cover total value of $4,500.
Rental Fees: $1,000 for a one-month booking
Shipping Costs:The photographer will deliver exhibit for 50.5 cents per mile plus $100 per diem if an overnight stay is required. This may change as soon as there are crates for the photographs. Please contact us for further information.
Number of Pieces: 35 framed 16”x20” portraits plus an introductory panel on foam core and 35 small texts plates (one for each portrait)
Geographic limitations: Will deliver anywhere in New Mexico or within 100 miles to the east, west or north of Santa Fe.
